The following are the profiles of some of the core senior members of the Integrity Group Team.
Joe Kerson BA (Hons) Cert Ed, MA - Founder and Chief Executive
Joe Kerson is the Chief Executive of the Integrity Group of Companies. He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Education and an MA in Vocational Education and Training from the Institute of Education University of London. As part of his master’s programme, Joe specialised in Total Quality Management within education.
Joe also has over 30 years experience working in further and higher education institutions. Joe has gained his experience working at Brunel University, and FE colleges. His job roles have included working as deputy head of school, leading and managing staff, ensuring quality of the curriculum delivered, lecturing in engineering, overseeing GNVQ, City and Guilds and BTEC National and Higher National Diploma Courses. Throughout his career Joe has always been responsible for quality assurance within the departments he has served.
Joe has an excellent understanding of educational practice, Ofsted and ALI National Inspection Framework with proven track record of inspection. After being head hunted for a position within an FE college, Joe was responsible for turning around the fortunes of a failing department and converting its inspection grade from a grade 4 to a grade 2 within 2 years. Joe has also worked for Edexcel as a Moderator responsible for assessing over 40 schools across the Country.
Before entering education, Joe worked for UNESCO as the Head of Fine Mechanics, where he was responsible for setting up the department for scientific research overseeing government departments, universities and training colleges. He also led and managed a team of technical and scientific expects in design, manufacture, research and development.
Barbara Matanda – Director of Operations and Finance
Barbara has over 6 years experience in both business and financial management and holds a BA (Hons) degree from the University of Lancaster.
Her experience has been gained working in the voluntary education sector, where she has also gained knowledge and hands-on experience of meeting the requirements of the National Inspection Framework.
Barbara enjoys building on her existing skills and in recent years has added teaching and assessing qualifications to her skills.
Before moving into management, Barbara worked extensively in administration and desktop publishing where she had the privilege of working for some of the World’s leading financial institutions in the City of London.
Mannie Kusema- Director of Integrity Consultancy and Training Service
Mannie is a Senior Consultant who has over 20 years experience of working within the Equality and Diversity (E&D) field. Throughout his experience, he has specialised in adopting a wholistic approach by working at all levels of organisations in order to address effectively, the practical E&D, particularly Impact Assessment, needs of all staff involved.
His last role was working with Eaga plc, a large corporate company, where he was part of a senior consultancy team that specialised in providing E&D services to various Eaga client organisations, particularly in response to their Equality Impact Assessment needs.
Prior to his working with Eaga, Mannie was the Higher Education Sector's Policy Adviser at Universities UK's Equality Challenge Unit which he joined after having spent 15 years working with the former Commission for Racial Equality (CRE)
In his role as Director of Consultancy and Training Service, he is keen to provide clients with practical advice, assistance and support that they might need, not only with their general E&D requirements but also and especially, with all their organisational impact assessment needs.
An expert in understanding the client's needs from the client's individual perspective, Mannie always looks to effect a service provision that is informed and led by the client's real needs. Thus he is able to ensure a sensitive but effective and appropriate response to all the current and future drivers of organisational employment and service provision practice.
